For years, rumors of being swingers have circled around Jada Pinkett Smith’s marriage and how being in the swinging lifestyle is what keeps her marriage to Will Smith going strong. Finally Jada is speaking about what she refers to as the most absurd rumor of them all.
In an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Thursday, July 20, Pinkett Smith says neither her or Will are swingers when Cohen asked about the craziest rumor she’s heard.
“The craziest rumor? That Will and I are swingers,” she said. “That’s the craziest one. It’s constant.”
“And I’m like, ‘Yo, I wish!’”
The Smiths have been married for 23 years, and along with the swinging rumors, there have also been rumors that Will was in the closet, Jada was a lesbian, and they were each other’s “beards”.
Jada said the secret to their long lasting marriage is that they simply like each other and they have great chemistry.
“I really think that Will and I just have amazing chemistry on a lot of different levels. We love to laugh together, we love to learn together, and we just love each other. We just have a good time together,” she replied. “Yeah, I guess that’s the secret. Yeah, we just really like each other!”
Now if only she can convince Michael Harriot they’re not Scientologists, which was the subject of our Slack conversation on Thursday.
