It’s official, Sean Spicer is out. He handed in his resignation on Friday following Trump’s hire of Anthony Scaramucci as the new White House communications director. Spicer had disagreed with the choice and “flatly rejected” a position under Scaramucci.
On Friday, Spicer tweeted, “It’s been an honor & a privilege to serve [President Donald Trump] & this amazing country. I will continue my service through August.”
As soon as the news of his resignation hit the internet, social media exploded.
