Saturday's Best Deals: LeEco Smartphone, Anova Sous-Vide, Anker Dash Cam, and More

A powerful Android phone, Anker’s dash cam, and a 6TB external hard drive lead off Saturday’s best deals from around the web.

Bookmark Kinja Deals and follow us on Twitter to never miss a deal.

Top Tech Deals

Chinese electronics firm LeEco released its first phones in the US late last year, and you can get one for just $214 unlocked, today only.

From Gizmodo:

The LePro 3 is basically a super badass phone with top tier hardware specs. It features a 5.5-inch full HD display, dual-stereo speakers, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 processor, and 4GB of RAM. It has a 16-megapixel rear camera that takes 4K video, an 8-megapixel selfie camera and it comes with 64GB of storage. It has a metal body, fingerprint sensor and Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology.

That’s a great deal at its usual $250-$300, and it’s an absolute steal during today’s Gold Box.

Pioneer’s super-simple mini stereo system can accept any 3.5mm, USB, or Bluetooth audio input, and comes with two speakers that match the stereo’s body, though you could potentially swap in better ones later, since they connect with standard speaker wire. If you’re still listening to your TV through its built-in speakers, this is a steal at $120.

Anker’s PowerLine cables are our readers’ favorite way to charge, and iPhone owners can upgrade on the cheap today. Get two 6′ cables (which are great for charging while you lounge around on the couch) for $18, no promo code required.

$140 is a great price for a 6 TB external hard drive, but this one’s especially neat, because it has two USB charging and data ports built right in. That means you could plug a hard drive into your hard drive (yo dawg), or just charge your phone at your desk.

Anker’s PowerPort chargers are our readers’ favorite USB charging hubs, and you can save $9 on this model which features five ports, including two with Quick Charge 3.0.

If you travel with any regularity, the HooToo TripMate Titan may just be your new best friend, because it’s actually three devices in one.

  • Travel Router: Turn any ethernet jack you find into a Wi-Fi hotspot, which can still come in handy at certain hotels and conventions.
  • 10,400mAh USB Battery Pack: Keep your phone and tablet charged during a long day away from any power outlets.
  • File Hub: Transfer files and wirelessly stream content from a hard drive or flash drive to all of your devices. Imagine loading a cheap thumb drive card up with movies for a long trip, instead of, say, buying an expensive iPad with more local storage.

Today on Amazon, you can knock $5 off the price of the TripMate with promo code 86FTZ6FJ. We aren’t sure how many they have in stock, or how long the promo code will last, so I’d act fast if you’re interested.

Update: The code for the smaller battery is expired.

Kmashi’s insanely affordable USB battery packs are back, and they’re cheaper than ever. $8 for 10,000mAh is basically unheard of, and $6 for 5,000mAh is also great if you need a pocket-friendly pack.

There aren’t a ton of Bluetooth headphones that also include noise cancelling, and at an all-time low $148, Sony’s Extra Bass over-ears offer great sound quality at a fair price.

These headphones have all the features you’d expect in a good pair of Bluetooth headphones these days: NFC pairing, 20+ hour battery life, and an extra bass mode that you can turn on and off at the touch of a button. But the secret sauce here is noise cancellation, so you can block out your surroundings and enjoy your music.

Anker’s take on truly wireless earbuds is finally here, and you can save a lot by preordering through Kickstarter.

Update: Only one day left to get in for $99 before the Kickstarter closes.

Needless to say, we don’t make a habit of covering crowdfunding campaigns, but given that we’ve personally used almost every product Anker has ever made, and our readers have purchased more than 200,000 of their products without issue, we’ll make an exception. Especially for this huge preorder discount.

Even better, I checked out two engineering samples of the Liberty+ on a recent trip to Seattle. They were comfortable (using the only size of ear tips available with the samples), and sounded great both when streaming Spotify and playing a few minutes of some podcasts.

As you’d expect from Anker, the headline spec here is battery life. Liberty+ gets a competitive 3.5 hours of playtime from the earbuds, but a whopping 48 hours out of the charging case. They also have some waterproofing, use Bluetooth 5.0, and work with your favorite voice assistants. Just don’t expect to wear them underwater or find any built-in fitness tracking.

I’ve been using wireless earbuds most days since mid-2016, and between our team we’ve tested more than ten different pairs. Anker’s Liberty+ are a steal at $99, and while they will of course get discounted many times in the future from their $149 MSRP, we wouldn’t expect this price point again any time soon.

Expected shipping in October 2017.

Update 7/20: MassDrop recently put a limited supply of these back on sale, if you missed out last month.

Sennheiser’s HD 650 open back headphones are widely considered some of the best-sounding cans you can buy for under $1000, and the best chance to get them is when MassDrop drops a new shipment of the legendary HD 6XX.

The 6XX is basically exactly the same as the 650, but with a 6′ cable rather than the original’s 10′, which is actually a better length, in my opinion. The 650s are currently listed for $316 on Amazon, and have never been cheaper than $287, but MassDrop has a limited number units of the 6XX available for $250 $200, while supplies last.

Just when you thought you’d seen it all when it comes to Lightning cables, iClever went and made one that’s braided on the outside with stainless steel. And yes, it’s as great as it sounds.

Obviously, this won’t be as flexible as a rubber or nylon-coated cable, but it’s impossible to tangle, and should stand up to even the most reckless iPhone owner. Plus, it just looks really damn cool. It’s a tough sell at $15, but for a limited time, you can try one out for $9 with promo code ICCABLE3.

For a limited time, Anker’s offering up big discounts on their popular GlassGuard screen protectors for some of the most popular gadgets out there. Just find what you need on this post, and be sure to note the promo code (where applicable).

VPNs are in the news these days, and with good reason. So if you’re curious to sign up and start protecting your browsing history and personal data (or, you know, getting around websites’ geoblocks), NordVPN charges less per month than a typical trip to Starbucks.

NordVPN has long been one of the most popular and reliable VPN providers out there, and if you sign up for a one-year membership, promo code VIP70 will drop your annual price from $69 to $48. If you’re sure you want to commit, use this link instead to get a special two year plan for $79 with code 2YSpecial2017. Lifehacker has recommended Nord in some previous guides, but if you have any firsthand experience with the service, sound off in the comments!

We found it. The world’s greatest inflatable pool toy.

If you’ve ever eaten at a nice steakhouse, you were probably eating sous-vide meat. Here’s a secret though: It’s really easy to get those kinds of results yourself, and Amazon’s here to help with a fantastic $100 deal on the Anova Bluetooth sous-vide circulator.

Lifehacker has a great explainer on Sous-Vide cooking for you to check out, but the basic idea is that you seal the food in plastic bags, and then cook it in precisely heated water over a longer period of time. It sounds weird and kind of sterile, but the result is meat that’s cooked to the exact right temperature all the way through.

For just $21, you can cut the tops off glass bottles and turn them into drinking glasses or works of art. I think I’m going to quit this job open a full-time Etsy store.

Cuisinart’s 3-in-1 Griddler is one of the most versatile kitchen appliances you can own, and it can be yours today for just $60 today on Amazon, one of the best deals we’ve seen.

If you aren’t familiar with this amazing little gadget, it’s a surprisingly large indoor grill, a griddle, and a panini press, all rolled into one. I’ve owned it for over a year, and I use it on a weekly basis.

Why stop with just a griddle, grill, and panini press? Add the optional waffle iron plates to your cart, and get even more use out of your new toy.

Yeah, yeah, kitchen unitaskers blah blah blah. You have to admit this is smart. The Snap’n Strain is a flexible strainer that clips onto any pot or pan, so you can pour out excess liquid straight into the sink.

Anker’s beginning its drive into the automotive accessory space with an affordable new dash cam, and you can race over to Amazon to snag one for $67 with code 3RJ6NATH, the best price we’ve seen since our exclusive (and short-lived) $64 launch deal.

I test drove the Anker Roav DashCam, and you can see my full impressions here. But to give you the cliffnotes, it shoots 1080p, its space-saving design makes it essentially invisible to the driver, and it even includes Wi-Fi to transfer clips to your phone, which is hard to find in a sub-$100 dash cam.

The last big deal on this thing only lasted a few hours, and we have little reason to expect this will be any different.

Philips Wake-Up lights have long been one of our readers’ favorite products, but now Vansky is making its own version for a lot less money.

Just like the Philips light, Vansky’s Sunrise Alarm Clock fades in a sunrise-simulating light for 30 minutes prior to your designated wake-up time, and then finishes the job with your choice of six natural alarms, or an FM radio station. That means by the time your alarm goes off, your body will already have begun the process of waking up, eliminating that awful feeling of being jolted out of a deep REM cycle. You can even choose from seven different light colors, a feature that doesn’t exist on any of Philips’ models.

I’ve had a Philips Wake-Up light for years, and absolutely love it, but $19 is an insanely great price for a feature-packed alternative.

You’ve heard of Automatic’s smart driving assistant, but if $80-$100 is too rich for your blood, this cheap OBD2 dongle connects to Android device over Bluetooth, and can fulfill many of the same functions using various third party apps.

OxyLED’s uber-popular motion-sensing night lights come in a lot of different varieties now, but today, you can get their new T-04 modular, rechargeable, night light with the code KINJAT04 for $15.

While the T-02 is one of the most popular products, these T-04 night lights are significantly easier to recharge. With its modular design, you can detach the battery pack and plug it directly into any USB port to recharge, then pop it back into the light when you’re done. That means you don’t have to remove the entire fixture, or even find a microUSB cable.

Top Lifestyle Deals

If you’ve had your eyes on a Fitbit (may we recommend the Charge 2?), nearly the entire lineup is on sale right now on Amazon, with discounts ranging from $20 to $60.

If you’ve never checked out Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale, what are you even doing on Kinja Deals? The retailer puts thousands of fall and winter styles, plus Nordstrom Beauty Exclusives, on sale way before they go into the stores. Once the sale is over, you’ll only be able to get them for full price, so you’d better get on it. The sale lasts until August 6th.

Hiking can quickly devolve from a wonderful day outdoors to the seventh circle of hell if you don’t use the right footwear, so take this opportunity to save 30% on Merrell’s popular Moab hiking boots for men and women. This deal is only available this weekend, so don’t traipse around too long thinking about it.

When it comes to having a corner on the market, nothing really compares to Nike. And right now, use the code SAVEMORE20 and take an extra 20% off their sale styles for both men and women. Everything you could need for a good workout wardrobe is included, from apparel, to sneakers, to gear.

Zappos is basically a one-stop shoe destination already, but right now, they’re having an actual sale, something they haven’t done in years. Grab discounted shoes from Cole Haan, Brooks, Nike, Stuart Weitzman, Frye, and more for men and women. And, if you’re part of their rewards program, get 3x the points on the over 40,000 items on sale.

Amazon always offers a free one-month trial of its Audible audiobook service, but for a limited time, they’re also tossing in an extra free book credit to sweeten the pot. That’s in addition to the book you normally get with the trial, and each credit is valid for any title in the Audible library. The best part? The books you choose are yours to keep, even if you cancel the trial before it renews.

Just note that this deal is only valid for new Audible members only.

The Star Wars “Complete Saga” Blu-ray isn’t actually complete anymore, since it doesn’t include The Force Awakens or Rogue One, but $55 is still the best price we’ve seen on the first six films. You also get audio commentary on each movie, 45 deleted scenes, and three bonus discs full of extra featurettes. Just order yours before Amazon alters the deal.

iTunes gift card discounts are noticeably less common than they used to be, and while we do see 20% discounts from time to time, a $1o0 iTunes gift card for $85 is still a solid deal if you pay for apps, movies, Apple Music, or iCloud storage.

Top Gaming Deals

Razer’s top-of-the-line BlackWidow X Tournament Edition Chroma keyboard is one of the few high-end gaming keyboards out there without a number pad, and it’s cheaper than ever today on Amazon.

This keyboard has every accoutrement a gamer could possibly want, including an all-metal body, 16.8 million color customizable backlighting, fully programmable keys, 10 key rollover, and a two year warranty. The BlackWidow line has long been a reader favorite, and this model is the cream of the crop, especially if you prefer a keyboard with a smaller footprint.

If you’ve been waiting half a year for a discount on the PlayStation VR, this $50 discount is a match for the best we’ve seen to date.

Just note that this deal is only on the headset. You’ll also need a PlayStation Camera for head tracking, plus a pair of motion controllers for certain games.

Splatoon 2, $48 for Prime members. Discount shown at checkout.

Splatoon 2 is out for the Nintendo Switch, and it’s even better than the original. If you haven’t picked up a copy yet, Prime members can still save 20% on a physical copy, which brings it down to $48 (discount shown at checkout). If you’ve finished Breath of the Wild and are getting bored of Mario Kart, this is the next Switch game you should buy.

Pop Chart Lab, purveyor of beautiful and geeky art prints, just came out with the new Chart of Controllers poster, and you can take 20% off through this weekend with promo code NINTENDEAL64. That 20% applies not just to the poster, but any finishing options you choose to add, so you could save $12 if you get it with poster rails, or $30 if you get it framed.

I imagine most of you have played at least one or two of Telltale’s choice-driven narrative games, but the newest Humble Bundle is a great excuse to try out more.

Just $1 gets you a lot of the studio’s earlier work, including the first season of The Walking Dead, paying more than the average unlocks the likes of Game of Thrones and Tales from the Borderlands, while $15 gets you Batman and Minecraft: Story Mode. As always, a portion of the proceeds go to charity, so make the choice to buy this bundle; you won’t regret the consequences.
