Wait, Were Mike Vick’s Comments About Colin Kaepernick’s Afro All for a TV Show?

So, last month Michael Vick fell into the sunken place after he took his black ass on Fox’s FS1 and made all kinds of respectability-politics comments about Colin Kaepernick’s gloriously fluffy Afro.

Vick was immediately uninvited to the national black cookout, but now it looks as if all of his comments served as perfect fodder for Baller Wives, a VH1 show that Vick and his Kijafa just happen to star on.

Although the show doesn’t premiere until Aug. 14, a sneak peak reveals an argument between Vick and his wife, Kijafa, over his Kaepernick comments.

“Why does he have to change his hair to get a job?” Kijafa asks, TMZ Sports reports.

“I don’t know, Kijafa; I was wrong,” Mike responds.

He then tries to explain himself: “I shouldn’t have said what I said. No one in any race should be stereotyped based on the way they look, dress, act—but that’s the reality of the world we live in.”

In the end, Kijafa put her husband on booty ban, but it seems rather revealing that Mike made the comments so close to the inaugural episode of a show that I hope I don’t accidentally watch.
