Rep. Joyce Beatty, D-Ohio, took to social media Friday to get in on the “#InMyFeelingsChallenge”—which as those who read The Root know, has been quite the time suck for us all.

Although she’s no Will Smith, Rep. Beatty says she made the video, which uses the Drake song, “In My Feelings,” to encourage young people to vote in the midterms this November.

You may remember Rep. Beatty from the 2016 DNC convention where she kill’t it in a white suit.

Well, white is still the color, children.

In a video on her Twitter page that has garnered more than 23,000 views, Rep. Beatty can be seen hopping out of a sporty white whip in front of the U.S. Capitol, dressed in a white church mother suit and white kitten heels (she also donned white pearls). Two of her staffers, according to CNN, also get in on the action in the highly edited video (now who do you think came up with this idea?)

With all respect, Rep. Beatty is actually pretty bad at the dancing part, but you gotta give it to the elders when they try to get in on the action, that is, come down to the younger people’s world to communicate, or where in her words, “culture meets action.”

In a statement, Beatty said: “As a Member of Congress, it’s imperative we tap into trending topics to help deliver important messages to the next generation, especially when it comes to the importance of voting and using one’s voice.”

“This is but the latest example of how I am bridging the gap between politics/government and millennials,” the statement read.

A representative for Beatty told CNN that the Congresswoman is hoping to get members of the Congressional Black Caucus to participate in another video of the challenge.

“We just need to get more people engaged,” she said. “This is culture meets politics.”

By the way, I’d pay to see Auntie Maxine get in on the #InMyFeelings action.
