The Mission: Impossible — Fallout star and Golden Globe winner said on SiriusXM’s The Clay Cane Show, that he experienced a racist incident in his Santa Monica, California, home.

“I get up, I open the door and there’s a red dot pointed at my face from a 9-millimeter [gun], and they say, ‘Put up your hands.’ Literally,” he claimed.

Rhames said he was chilling at home watching ESPN when he answered the door and was confronted by cops. He said an officer them recognized him because their sons had played each other on their high school basketball teams. It wasn’t Rhames’ work as a prolific actor that first caught his attention.

Rhames said he questioned why police came to his home and was told they were alerted about a burglary in progress.

“He said to me, ‘A woman called 911 [and] said a large black man was breaking into the house. And so we came,’ ” Rhames told Cane.

Rhanes then took up the issue with the neighbor and went to her home along with the police chief to find out why she made the call. But the neighbor denied it, Rhames said.

“You can check this with the Santa Monica Police Department. They apologized and what have you,” Rhames said. “This is the God’s honest truth.”

The incident rattle Rhames who questioned how things could have taken a turn for the worst if his ten son Freedom had answered the door.

“What if it was my son and he had a video game remote or something, and you thought it was a gun?” Rhames said to Cane. “Just like, I don’t know, Trayvon had a bag of Skittles.”

The Clay Cane Show airs weekdays (12 p.m. ET) on SiriusXM Urban View Ch. 126.
