Jaren Jackson’s big night propels Grizz to 112-104 win over Sacramento Kings

It was a big night for power forwards who went to Michigan State.

For the older Spartan, Zach Randolph, it was another homecoming to a city where he is loved. And for the young Spartan, a rookie named Jaren Jackson Jr., it was glimpse into what Grizzlies fans hope is the future.

Jackson’s 27 points led all scorers while leading the Grizzlies to a 112-104 win over the Sacramento Kings at FedExForum. Jackson went 11-16 from the field, adding in six boards, four steals and two blocked shots. The kid is alright.

Four other Grizzlies scored in double digits as the team shot 50.6 percent from the floor. Mike Conley and Marc Gasol each scored 19; Garrett Temple added 14 and Wayne Selden chipped in 10 points.

Check out my Three Point Play, as well as remarks from Marc Gasol and a check in with No. 50 for the city, Z-Bo himself:
