The Memphis Grizzlies fell to the league-worst Atlanta Hawks 108-82, ending a four-game road trip with four consecutive losses.

Mario Chalmers led the team with 13 points and Marc Gasol was held to only eight points and six rebounds in the contest.

“With selfishness on both ends of the floor, it’s impossible to build any sort of foundation that you’re trying to build,” starting center Marc Gasol said. “That’s not going to build anything. Most importantly, that’s not going to build trust and it’s impossible to win (that way) with the amount of talent that we have. Each guy has to make the decision of team before self.”

The Grizzlies never led after the first quarter, and ended the first half down 51-35. According to Head Coach J.B. Bickerstaff, the team got outworked.

“That was a very immature effort on our part. We weren’t prepared to play at the level that that team was going to compete at tonight,” Bickerstaff said in his post-game interview.

Memphis had a season-high 27 turnovers and made only four of 23 three-pointers.

All hope is not lost for the Grizzlies, however, seeing as though the Grizzlies are on track to transition from a veteran team to a team that focuses more on letting its youth shine.

Players like Dillon Brooks and Ivan Rabb are starting to see more playing time. Brooks put up 12 points and Rabb notched a double-double off the bench with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

The Grizzlies return to FedExForum tonight for a matchup with the Utah Jazz. Tipoff is at 7 p.m.
