Bishop Curry is just 11 years old, but already, he’s looking to change the world.

This young inventor, according to CBS News, has developed a device to deal with the issue of children dying in hot cars. The device is called “Oasis” and is made up of a fan that automatically turns on when the inside of a car reaches a set temperature. The fan will be placed in the headrest of car seats, facing the child inside.

“The device detects if vehicle comes to stop, using GPS technology,” Curry told CBS News. “It then detects if a child is in that car seat, and if the car is heating up. If all of those things are taking place it blows cold air on the child through an internal cooling system.”

Curry wants to add an antenna to the device that can connect to Wifi in order to alert parents if the fan is activated. If parents don’t respond, the police will be called, with the device providing GPS coordinates.

GoFundMe page for the project was started in January and has already raised $41,000.

His father, Bishop Curry IV, is an engineer at Toyota, so Curry has already been able to present his idea to car manufacturers. While they have shown interest in the device, they have not decided to use it yet.
