ALL OVER TOWN: What’s is a ‘silent party?’ Here’s your chance to find out

Here’s a look at a few entertainment options in Memphis this weekend:

November 10 – The Positive Vibez Silent Party is the first of its kind to grace Memphis. A silent party is an avant-garde concept, changing the landscape for how we experience music on a corporate and social level. Three of Memphis’ biggest DJs will be there! The silent party will be at the DeLuxe Arcade at The Bradford in downtown Memphis. Doors open at 8 p.m. Men must be 25 and older; women, 21 and up. Tickets can be purchased from www.eventbrite.com.

November 10 – In the mood to start your holiday shopping? Walking in Memphis is where you should be! Area businesses are coming together to offer a night of holiday shopping, great food, and dessert! Start at 5th Avenue Pharmacy and enjoy spectacular savings on all holiday Items. Finish the evening with a hot cup of fresh brewed coffee and some holiday-themed desserts at The Loaded Toad.

Walking in Memphis runs from 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m., and proceeds from the evening will sponsor crafting days for four children. Local children will be able to make gifts and crafts for the holidays completely free. Tickets for this event are sold exclusively at The Loaded Toad and are $25 each. Tickets are transferable but not refundable.

November 11– Join the Grizzlies vs. Rockets watch party at Railgarten from 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. There will be Budweiser beer specials and you’ll have a chance to win game tickets or other prizes. Plus, you might be able to hang out with Grizz and the Grizz Girls.

November 12 – The Soul Brothas are putting on a show for everyday heroes: Black Love Live! This black love is celebrating the everyday heroes, they will be honoring nurses, caretakers, police officers, firefighters, teachers, military, and others in the community.

This concert-styled party will honor those who have committed to a career life of sacrifice for the well being of others. The concert will be held at The Rumba Room from 6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. with tickets ranging from $16.50 – $20. Get yours at www.eventbrite.com.
