MLK51 celebrated on April 4, 2019 produced myriad images associated with commemorating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who was assassinated while standing on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel in Downtown Memphis on April 4, 1968.

The following images showcase a program at the National Civil Rights Museum, where the Rev. Jessie Jackson was a featured speaker, and another at the annual April 4th Foundation observation at the Hilton Memphis, where U.S. Rep. James James E. Clyburn (D-S.C.) received the I Am A Man Award. Clyburn is the Majority Whip and the third-ranking Democrat in the United States House of Representatives.
