On Sunday during an appearance at Politicon, Charlamagne tha God was interrupted during his remarks by two women protesting for the trans community.
The protest was sparked by the recentĀ #BreakfastClubBoycott hashtag that cropped up after the show found itself under fire for comments that Lil Duval made suggesting that he would kill a trans woman if he were dating her and found out that she was transgender.

āThis might sound messed up and I donāt careĀ ā but sheās dying. I donāt care,āĀ he said, going on to add,Ā āIf one did that to me and didnāt tell me, Iād probably be so mad Iād kill them.ā
During Politican, the two protesters interrupted Charlamagneās response by shouting out, āWe are not a joke!ā and āTrans people are not a joke!ā
One of the women continued to chant āwe are not a jokeā while the other shouted out that Charlamagne had allowed a comedian on his show to belittle the suffering of trans women.
In response, Charlamagne explained to the audience at large what the protesters were there for and said that when Duval had made the ājoke,ā he āimmediatelyā responded by saying, āNo, you canāt do that. Thatās a hate crime.ā
