The NYPD is refusing to go to Dunkin’ Donuts for coffee or anything else ever since two officers were allegedly turned away.

On Sunday, a sergeant was spotted going into the 73rd Precinct station house with generic coffee, saying, “No D&D in the 7-3.”

What’s more, an officer patrolling Union Square allegedly replied, “I’m not allowed to do that,” when asked for directions to the nearest Dunkin’ Donuts.

The boycott of Dunkin’ Donuts began when two officers were allegedly turned away from a Dunkin’ Donuts location when the clerk said that they didn’t serve cops. According to police, the clerk took the order of the customer behind the two officers and blatantly ignored them standing there.

While the manager of the Dunkin’ Donuts that allegedly turned the officers away has since apologized, the chain also suggested that the reason the cops weren’t served was that the layout of the restaurant may have confused them, and they were standing in the wrong place to place an order. However, police have said that this version of events is “an insult.”
