Grizz players asked: What errors did you make and what would you do differently?

Editor’s Note: Before the Memphis Grizzlies took a stick of dynamite to their Front Office – demoting Chris Wallace, firing J.B. Bickerstaff as head coach – the NBA franchise hosted its end of season media session. TSD intern Shambreon Richardson joined Lee Eric Smith to gain some experience, and came back with this piece, asking several players to reflect on their season with this question:

“Are there any errors you made as a player and team you wish you could go back and correct?”

CHANDLER PARSONS, Forward

Chandler Parsons witth the block.

“Ahh, we made a lot, honestly. Injuries obviously really hurt us this year – if you look at our roster we have all those healthy guys…I mean we’re a playoff team… The Memphis Grizzlies (record) was off this season because that really wasn’t our team. So I think that had a huge impact… Jaren was really rising and growing and that (injury) was a huge blow .. we missed Mike and eight of our top ten guys so it’s hard to pinpoint something we did wrong because we weren’t full strength for the majority of the season.”

“The great answer would be no. Everything happens for a reason. I definitely want to make more shots. That’s a big one. I definitely want to make more. Definitely some (short shots) I wanted to get up in there. Other than that, I don’t know, I liked this season and if anybody can tell, I have a lot of fun…I don’t really want to change anything. But I’ll use the corporate answer.”

BRUNO CABOCLO – Forward

“I always think as a team. But if I make a mistake, I just get refocused and pick up my slack.”

JULIAN WASHBURN

Julian Washburn

“Maybe..not being more aggressive. I guess if you want to call it a mistake that would be it.”
