Tamar Braxton is back with new music, and this time around she’s getting personal.
On Thursday, the singer and reality star debuted her upcoming project’s first single, “My Man,” a homage to her mother, who divorced Braxton’s father after he had an affair with another woman.

“I know it’s gonna hit her in the core because it’s really about her and my dad,” the singer said before playing the song for her mother on their reality series Braxton Family Values. “I wrote it about mom and her experience with daddy and how I felt that she felt.”
“Never trust a girl with the one you love, she eat dinner at my table, even watched my kids—and she took my man,” Braxton belts on the smooth ballad.
“Bitch acted like she was my friend. She called me ’bout her man…what I didn’t understand is she was talking about my man. Heffa!”
