Steve Harvey accused of fraud, blaming Oprah and Tyler Perry for bad advice

Steve Harvey is being sued for alleged fraud related to he and his wife’s children foundation.

Vincent Dimmock claims that he was hired to raise $20 million for the Steve & Marjorie Foundation and that he was promised 12.5 percent of all of the money that he brought in.

Dimmock said that in the course of raising the money, he had access to celebrities and politicians, even a former president. Eventually, he was able to get the $20 million in pledges that he was asked to bring in.

However, Dimmock claimed that when he delivered the first $1 million, he was never paid his commission, and he is now claiming that Harvey had no plans to pay him at all.

In the lawsuit, Dimmock also claimed that Harvey had made disparaging remarks about women while meeting with an investor in May. During that meeting, Dimmock claimed, Harvey also blamed Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry for giving him bad financial advice.

Dimmock also said Harvey laid the blame for his ill-fated meeting with Donald Trump at the feet of former president Barack Obama, saying it was Obama’s transition team that convinced him to open dialogue with Trump.

Harvey’s agent, Todd Frank, has since responded to the allegations, telling TMZ, “It sounds fake. Steve is the most loyal guy in the world. I’ve never been stiffed on a commission from Steve Harvey in 21 years.”
