On Monday, Tiger Woods took responsibility for his DUI arrest that day, though he claimed that he was not drunk but affected by medication.

“I understand the severity of what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions,” Woods said in a statement to USA Today, later going on to say, “I didn’t realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly,” he said. “I would like to apologize with all my heart to my family, friends and the fans. I expect more of myself too.”

At about 3 a.m., Woods was arrested on the DUI charge, with police on the scene claiming that they could smell alcohol on his breath. He was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail, and the mug shot from his arrest quickly went viral, with many mocking the fall from grace and comparing the unsmiling image to the brighter ones during his career.

Woods had undergone surgery back in April, posting on his website that it had been successful and that he had not felt this good in years. He had dropped out of playing golf in February due to back problems but promised on his site that he planned to get back into the game.
