LeBron James might be the most beloved and recognized black man in America today. He is arguably the best basketball player ever to grace the court and easily one of the most charitable sports stars ever to donate a dollar, but in the end, in Trump’s America, he’s just another “nigger.”
A Los Angeles home owned by James was the target of a hate crime as someone spray-painted “nigger” across the front gate, TMZ Sports reports.
According to the sports site, Los Angeles police units were patrolling the neighborhood early Wednesday when they came to the home, which has been owned by James since 2015. The hateful slur was reportedly scrawled across a front gate of the home and has since been covered up.
Police are looking for security footage in hopes of finding the Trump supporter perpetrator.
TMZ Sports notes that James doesn’t appear to live at the home and is presumably in the San Francisco Bay Area getting set to play Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday.
