Kathy Griffin loses two more gigs over Trump scandal

Kathy Griffin has lost two more jobs after the scandal caused by an image of her posing for a photograph with what appears to be the bloody and severed head of Donald Trump.

Griffin was scheduled to do the Celebrity Run-In Tour at St. George Theatre in Staten Island on November 2 and a show at the State Theatre in New Brunswick, NJ, the next day, but both have been cancelled.

“Ms. Griffin’s recent actions have severely inhibited our ability to fulfill our mission as a non-profit theatre serving the Staten Island community,” St. George Theatre said. The State Theatre also cited safety concerns for why they were cancelling her show.

Both venues have promised to give full refunds to people holding tickets.

Route 66 Casino in Albuquerque cancelled a gig for Griffin on Wednesday, along with two other California venues, so this makes five cancelled jobs for Griffin since the Trump picture debacle. A sixth, Bergen PAC in NJ, where she is scheduled to perform on Nov. 4, has been getting negative calls but has not yet come to a decision on cancellation.
