Saturday's Best Deals: Roomba, Fitbit, Simplehuman, and More

The entry level Roomba 650, vacuum-insulated water bottles, and the best price ever on the Fitbit Alta lead off Saturday’s best deals from around the web.

The reader-favorite (and kevlar-reinforced) PowerLine Lightning cable has been one-upped by the PowerLine+ and PowerLine II, but the original is still great, and a solid deal at $7.

And in case you missed it this week, the 6′ PowerLine II (which includes a lifetime warranty) is also down to $11 right now.

Fitbit’s Alta is one of the first fitness trackers that actually looks nice on your wrist, owing largely to its fashionable interchangeable bands, and you can pick one up on Amazon for $70 brand new right now. That’s by far the best price ever; it’s actually $15 cheaper than it was on Black Friday.

Aukey’s new action cam shoots in 4K (albeit at 25 frames per second, rather than the standard 30), and it costs $60. Think about that for a second. It doesn’t have a ton of reviews yet, but you can see some sample footage here.

If you want to keep your smartphone looking pristine, a number of Anker cases are on sale for just a few bucks each right now.

The market is littered with beautiful, minimal laptop stands from accessory design shops, but no matter how much you love yours, there’s no guarantee that your next laptop will fit properly. That’s where the iQunix Edin comes in.

At first blush, the Edin looks like any other aluminum, Apple-centric laptop stand. But its secret is a knob that adjusts the dock’s width, meaning no matter what laptop you happen to own at the moment (as long as it’s between 0.4 and 1.18 inches thick), it’ll fit like a glove. For a limited time, you can save $6 on yours with promo code ediquinx.

The advent of inexpensive Bluetooth headphones has been a net positive, but there’s no getting around it: They’re a pain in the ass to charge.

Luckily, Mpow’s headphone carrying case includes a built-in 800mAh battery and microUSB cable, so you can recharge your earbuds while simultaneously keeping them from getting lost or tangled in your bag. Yeah, you’ll still need to recharge the case, but this definitely makes Bluetooth earbuds a simpler option while traveling.

Mpow basically created the affordable Bluetooth headphone market, and the company’s ergonomic Cheetah line looks like a great entry in their lineup. Note that this is actually the second generation of Cheetah earbuds; Mpow claims to have improved their water resistance this time around, making them perfect for exercise.

These compact APC uninterruptible power supplies won’t be able to keep your gaming PC running at full throttle during a power outage, but they can provide enough juice to power NAS enclosures, external hard drives, or even your home networking gear during a power outage, at least until you can get everything powered down safely.

Both are $5 off when you clip the on-screen coupon, but the $52 model is more powerful, and includes a USB port.

Anker’s take on truly wireless earbuds is finally here, and you can save a lot by preordering through Kickstarter.

Update: $79 and $89 specials sold out, but there are some left at $99.

Needless to say, we don’t make a habit of covering crowdfunding campaigns, but given that we’ve personally used almost every product Anker has ever made, and our readers have purchased more than 200,000 of their products without issue, we’ll make an exception. Especially for this huge preorder discount.

Even better, I checked out two engineering samples of the Liberty+ on a recent trip to Seattle. They were comfortable (using the only size of ear tips available with the samples), and sounded great both when streaming Spotify and playing a few minutes of some podcasts.

As you’d expect from Anker, the headline spec here is battery life. Liberty+ gets a competitive 3.5 hours of playtime from the earbuds, but a whopping 48 hours out of the charging case. They also have some waterproofing, use Bluetooth 5.0, and work with your favorite voice assistants. Just don’t expect to wear them underwater or find any built-in fitness tracking.

I’ve been using wireless earbuds most days since mid-2016, and between our team we’ve tested more than ten different pairs. Anker’s Liberty+ are a steal at $89 (or $99 if you miss the early bird special), and while they will of course get discounted many times in the future from their $149 MSRP, we wouldn’t expect this price point again any time soon.

Expected shipping in October 2017.

VPNs are in the news these days, and with good reason. So if you’re curious to sign up and start protecting your browsing history and personal data (or, you know, getting around websites’ geoblocks), NordVPN charges less per month than a typical trip to Starbucks.

NordVPN has long been one of the most popular and reliable VPN providers out there, and if you sign up for a one-year membership, promo code VIP70 will drop your annual price from $69 to $48. If you’re sure you want to commit, use this link instead to get a special two year plan for $79 with code 2YSpecial2017. Lifehacker has recommended Nord in some previous guides, but if you have any firsthand experience with the service, sound off in the comments!

It’s officially pool season, and today’s Amazon Gold Box deal brings the water to you in the form of an inflatable Intex above-ground pool for an all-time low $350.

The kit incldues a pump to circulate the water, a ground cloth to protect your grass, and its drain hooks up to a garden hose so you can empty it into a storm grate instead of your back yard. Just remember that this price is only valid today, or until sold out , but no running!

While you’re at it, pick up this Millenium Falcon pool float for $25, after you clip the $5 coupon on the page. Needless to say, this deal will be gone in less than 12 parsecs (I know, I know).

Once you start carrying your beverages in vacuum-insulated stainless steel, you’ll never want to go back. Today only on Amazon, you can save big on Alpha Armur double-walled steel bottles in a variety of sizes and colors, all of which will keep drinks hot or cold all day long.

Your choices boil down to narrow or wide-mouthed bottles, but both varieties come in several different sizes, ranging from 12 ounces all the way to 50. I imagine some of the most popular versions will sell out before the day is done though, so place your order, and stay hydrated.

I realize $100 is a lot to spend on a trashcan, but Simplehuman makes your favorites, and this beautiful round kitchen model is a whopping $40 less than its usual price. That’s the best price Amazon’s ever listed, and we think this deal will soon be in the dustbin of history.

We all know charcoal is the best way to grill, but it’s certainly not the most convenient. But with this $9 chimney starter, your coals will be hot and ready to cook in just 10 minutes, which leaves you more time to gorge yourself.

Life’s too short to vacuum every other day, but luckily, you can pawn that tedious chore off to a Roomba, and the entry level 650 model is marked down to $275 today on Amazon, a match for last year’s Black Friday deal.

While some people will prefer to buy the name brand (it certainly helps if you need to buy replacement parts or filters), I’ve found Anker’s Eufy RoboVac 11 to be quite similar to the entry level Roomba, if you’d prefer to spend a little less.

In today’s edition of “I can’t believe Amazon will ship heavy furniture for this little money,” we have an attractive wood TV stand for an all-time low $119. At this price, it’s obviously MDF rather than actual hardwood, but it has great reviews, and looks quite nice for the price.

You know those warm, dim, Edison-style bulbs you see in fancy restaurants and bars staffed by men with mustaches? Well, it turns out that they make LED version of those, and you can own six of them for $22 with promo code 3BBJHXS6. And unlike a lot of alternatives, these are dimmable, and even use E26 bases that work in any standard lighting fixture.

CREE LED flashlights pack a whole lot of lumens into shockingly small packages, and $10 today gets you an OxyLED flashlight, an 18650 rechargeable battery, and a charger. We see these types of lights for around $5-$7 from time to time, but those deals usually require you to find the battery yourself.

String lights make every outdoor space better, and while we see deals on globe-style strands with some regularity, but almost all of them still use power-hungry incandescent bulbs. But if you’d prefer to go all-out with LEDs, this 49’/15-bulb strand from Cymas is on sale for $60 today with promo code 4MIPIVLN.

This Suaoki portable jump starter isn’t the most powerful model out there—at 400A, it’s only going to work on relatively small cars with 2.5L or smaller engines—but $22 is one of the best prices we’ve ever seen on a product like this.

Anker’s beginning its drive into the automotive accessory space with an affordable new dash cam, and you can race over to Amazon to snag one for $68, the best price we’ve seen since our exclusive (and short-lived) $64 launch deal..

I test drove the Anker Roav DashCam, and you can see my full impressions here. But to give you the cliffnotes, it shoots 1080p, its space-saving design makes it essentially invisible to the driver, and it even includes Wi-Fi to transfer clips to your phone, which is hard to find in a sub-$100 dash cam.

The last big deal on this thing only lasted a few hours, and we have little reason to expect this will be any different.

The classic BlenderBottle is great for mixing everything from pancake batter to protein shakes, and the 32 oz. model is a no-brainer purchase at this price (albeit as an Add-On Item).

If you’ve got the space for it, you’d be hard pressed to find an exercise bike cheaper than this. Despite the low price though, it still features eight levels of resistance, a screen to track your stats, and a 4.2 star review average.

Dorco’s Pace razors consistently represent some of the best values in the shaving industry, even when they aren’t on sale, but if you aren’t sure which model is right for you, this trial pack can help you decide.

The Pace Trial Pack includes a handle, six Pace 6 Plus cartridges (which include a seventh blade on the top to use as an edger), and four each of their Pace 6, Pace 4, and Pace 3 cartridges, which includes six, four, and three blades, respectively. The set would normally cost you about $38, but promo code KINJATRYDP will take 50% off at checkout.

You do not have to go through the measurement and customization process to lock in this discount. You can checkout now and submit later, which makes it very easy to gift a suit.

This matches our exclusive Black Friday discount, which is the best deal Indochino’s ever offered, and one of our most popular exclusives ever.

Having a suit that fits perfectly is great, but the little details Indochino lets you customize, from your jacket lapels to pocket flaps to accent stiching around your buttons, are where things get fun.

How It Works

Measure and customize from home…

Follow the directions on Indochino’s site to submit your measurements and customize your suit. Once the suit arrives, if anything doesn’t fit quite right, Indochino will provide directions for your local tailor, along with a $75 credit to cover their work. If for whatever reason your tailor cannot resolve the issues, Indochino will remake your suit. Shipping and return shipping are free.

If you live near a showroom

Purchase your suit online with our discount and take your receipt/account info into an Indochino showroom. They’ll do your measurements, walk you through your customization options, and have your suit delivered to the showroom. Return once it arrives for any final alterations if they’re needed.

Those who already have a closet full of suits may want to opt for something more interesting like the Indigo Twill Windowpane, while the rest of us should go for something versatile.

Texture is a service that promises to be the Netflix of magazines, offering you full access to over 200 titles on your phone or tablet. If you’ve been curious to try it out, you can get your first three months for $7 total on Amazon, today only, compared to its usual $10 per month.

If you own an Xbox One S or any other 4K Blu-ray player, and want to see just how nice your TV can look, The Martian is on sale for just $13 for Prime members. This movie looks gorgeous in any resolution, so I can’t even imagine how much it’ll pop in 4K.

Top Gaming Deals

When you’re not playing games, the Xbox One is also a pretty great set-top streaming box. The only problem? The gamepad takes a few seconds to wake up, which can be really annoying when you just want to pause a movie.

Today on Amazon, both the official Xbox One Media Remote and Kinect sensor are marked down to great low prices, and both make great additions to the console for your movie nights.

Note: You’ll need an adapter to use the Kinect with the Xbox One S, unfortunately.
