Appearances can be deceiving.
At first glance, Sandra Adell appears to be a distinguished, “got-it-all-together” college professor. But underneath her warm smile and disarming charm, Adell’s life had spun out of control when she got hooked on slot machines.
In an extraordinarily candid interview on Megyn Kelly Today, Adell opens up about her “research” on gambling behavior, and the TWO times she knew she was at rock bottom. “Gambling doesn’t care that you’re smart,” she said.
She wrote a book about her addiction and her recovery: “Confessions of a Slot Machine Queen.” Seems like it would be a good read, especially for anyone who wonders if they have a problem going to the casino.
