Now that Omarosa Manigault-Newman is out of the Celebrity Big Brother house, she is back to making media appearances. During her Late Show with Stephen Colbertinterview, Omarosa noted what a relief it was to be free of social media during her stint on the show.

“That was the first time I had been away from Twitter since I joined the campaign in 2015. So it was actually a great reprieve,” the Celebrity Apprentice alum noted.

Celebrity Big Brother rules dictate that participants can’t have any contact with the outside world—including social media. For Omarosa, who was introduced to the world via the first season of The Apprentice in 2004, social media has played a major role in shaping her public image.

And, one could argue, destroying her image as well.

Omarosa, who initially backed Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election, eventually switched allegiances to her old reality TV pal Donald Trump and was appointed to the position of Assistant to the President and Director of Communications for the Office of Public Liaison. No one was ever clear on her actual job responsibilities.

Regardless of what she actually did all day in her White House role, Omarosa left the position in dramatic fashion. It was rumored that she had to be escorted off the grounds by security after a heated discussion with White House Chief of Staff John Kelly.

While Omarosa staunchly defended Trump during his campaign and while she was employed at the White House, since leaving her 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue post, she has been critical of the 45th president, bemoaned how lonely it was being the only Black woman in the inner circle, and has hinted at publishing a tell-all book.

While on Colbert’s show, the host grilled Omarosa about Trump’s erratic behavior and his less-than presidential moments. “Awful, awful, unacceptable, awful, awful, awful, awful, unacceptable, unequivocally unacceptable, awful,” she responded.

We couldn’t agree more.
