We’re proud to share with you our 2018 ACHIEVE! Back to School Edition in this week’s edition of The New Tri-State Defender!
This summer, we were proud to watch the growth of our summer interns from the City of Memphis’ MPLOY program.
Each of them has a story in the edition, tackling topics such as:
- Making the transition to college;
- Choosing a major and how to find help doing so;
- What leads some students to drop out of college.
Plus, we’ve got stories about a summer enrichment program as well as a profile of Southwest Tennessee Community College’s new basketball coach Cedric Henderson, and how he uses the game to develop good academic habits with players.
