The Rev. Dr. L. LaSimba M. Gray Jr.’s new book – “Metamorphosis of Memphis: the Blues and Beale Street 1819-2019” – debuted Friday (Feb. 21). He will sign copies on Sunday (Feb. 23) at 9:30 a.m. at New Sardis Baptist Church, 7739 E. Holmes Rd.
Dr. Gray, pastor emeritus of New Sardis, shared the making of the book during an African-American History Month celebration for the Shelby County Archives on Tuesday.
He joins “Where Do We Go From Here?” host Karanja A. Ajanaku on TSDRadio on WLOK (1340 AM, 105 FM) this Sunday at 5 p.m.
