In an interview with Jada Pinkett Smith, August Alsina opened up about his struggle with liver disease that has left him “sicker than ever” and struggling to accept what the doctors tell him.
Alsina posted the interview on Instagram and explained that the autoimmune disorder that he is struggling with runs in the family. In fact, both his father and grandfather died of “severe illness.”
During the interview, Alsina told Smith that he doesn’t like to talk about the disease because he is “not looking for anybody’s sympathy.”
