The grant application process for the Philanthropic Black Women of Memphis (PBWM) is open now through March 15, 2019.
The primary areas of focus for grant consideration include: Career development, Education, Entrepreneurship, Health and Scholarship.
The grant guidelines and eligibility include the following:
- Must have a 501 © 3 tax-exempt designation from the Internal Revenue Service
- Be located in Memphis and Shelby County
- Recipients are only eligible to apply every 3 years
- A written report is required 12 months after the grant is awarded.
The Philanthropic Black Women of Memphis’ is a private organization that was founded in 2005 and is funded by the members of PBWM. To date PBWM has awarded $70,000 in grants.
Members of the organization include: Monice Moore Hagler (President), Nelda Burroughs, Debra Evans, Edith Kelly-Green, Carolyn Chism Hardy, Mary McDaniel, Deidre Malone and Belinda Watkins.
