Yo Gotti brings Memphis to L.A. during All-Star Weekend

Memphis rapper Yo Gotti, put on a $5 concert on Saturday at The Novo by Microsoft in Los Angeles during NBA AllStar Weekend.

The Novo is located in the L.A. LIVE complex, which many refer to as the center of the entertainment world.
The entertaining lineup featured all Memphis artists affiliated with Yo Gottiā€™s CMG record label. That meant Yo Gotti, BlocBoy JB, MoneyBagg Yo and Blac Youngsta all were in the house. The nearly packed venue held about 2,300 guests and was perfect for an intimate concert.
Memphis’ newest rapper to hit mainstream success,Ā BlocBoy JBĀ opened the show with his smash-hitĀ  ā€œShoot,ā€ which started a local dance craze in the Bluff City. He followed with his January viral hit ā€œRover.ā€ He recently, released ā€œLook Alive,ā€ a mutually beneficial collaboration with Drake, that brings the best out of both. BlocBoy JB concluded his performance with ā€œLook Alive.ā€
It was a good feeling to see so many people on the west coast rap along the words, ā€œ901. Shelby Drive. Look Alive. Look Alive.ā€
At the stroke ofĀ midnight,Ā Yo GottiĀ took the stage. He opened with his hit song ā€œForget You,ā€ following up with more of his hits — ā€œI Know,ā€ ā€œ5 Starā€ and ā€œThey Like.ā€ His crowd-pleasing performance also featured songs such as Snootie Wildā€™s ā€œYayoā€ and Chris Brownā€™s ā€œPills And Automobiles.ā€
At one point, Gotti brought out CMGā€™s top artists Money Bagg Yo and Blac Youngsta andĀ  they performed their song ā€œGang Gang.ā€ There was so much energy on stage! Blac Youngsta, whoĀ  performed his smash hit ā€œBooty,ā€ got into the crowd and interacted with his fans. Much like his hilarious viral videos and antics on social media, his performance was ratchet and dramatic, but entertaining to say the least.
Money Bagg YoĀ and Yo Gotti performed their hit ā€œDoin 2 Much.ā€ Yo Gotti kept the crowd hyped when he performed his latest hit songs — ā€œDown in the DM,ā€ ā€œRake It Upā€ and ā€œJuice,ā€ all which have reached Billboard success.
Overall, each entertainer brought his own persona to the stage and had an incredible performance, making sure to keep the audience involved whether it was talking to the crowd, having them rap along or getting them to dance.
It was one big Memphis party in the heart of Los Angeles!
