The Memphis Grizzlies are 5-1. Admit it, you didn’t see this coming. And we’re still very early in the season so obviously this likely will change. But any Grizz fan will take it, especially if it means going 3-0 against Golden State and Houston.

Tonight, the Grizzlies will try to make it 6-1 against the Charlotte Hornets. This would otherwise be something of a yawner, mostly because nobody’s really checking for Memphis or Charlotte. But this will be the lone occasion that fans get to see Marc Gasol mix it up with Dwight Howard, who was traded to Charlotte in the offseason. There seems to be a mutual dislike between the two, as Gasol’s star has risen and Howard is now a full-on journeyman center. Should be a fun matchup; tips at 7 p.m. at FedExForum.

In the meantime, here’s my Three-Point Play for the Grizzlies win over Houston, their second in this young season. Chandler Parsons finally had a great game, scoring 24 off the bench for the Grizzlies, whose bench scored 67 of the team’s 103 points. Check out remarks from Mike Conley and Parsons below . . . and check our FB page after the game for live postgame commentary from yours truly. GRIND ON!
