Yes, tennis and tutoring do mix. So says Tony Nichelson, program manager for the Tennis & Tutoring program being offered to students at the Bellevue Tennis Center in Jesse Turner Park in South Memphis.

This Sunday on TSDRadio on WLOK, TSD Associate Publisher/Executive Editor Karanja A. Ajanaku is on location as he talks with Nichelson from the Bellevue Tennis Center during the next segment of “Where Do We Go From Here?”

The show airs from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on WLOK (FM 105/AM 1340).

The Tennis & Tutoring program is one of the services offered by Tennis Memphis, Inc., the non-profit youth development organization that operates and manages the City of Memphis’ public tennis facilities. Tennis Memphis is a 4-star chapter member of the USTA National Junior Tennis & Learning Network that evolved from the National Junior Tennis League, which Arthur Ashe helped found in 1969.

For Nichelson, whose passion for mentoring has affected hundreds of young people through his Man of the House mentoring outreach, Tennis & Tutoring is embraced as a good fit and a logical way to widen the safety-and-support net for young people.
