Kidd Creole has been indicted in the stabbing death of a homeless man.
According to the DA’s office, Kidd Creole, whose real name is Nathaniel Glover and who is best known as a hip-hop pioneer as part of South Bronx’s Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, did not appear in court when his case was called, but a grand jury voted on the indictment all the same.
On Aug. 1, Glover said that he was approached by John Jolly, a former convict. He told investigators that he had felt threatened by Jolly and believed that the ex-con had made a pass at him.
The indictment is still sealed, but Glover is expected to be back in court for an Aug. 23 arraignment date.
