Family and friends of Memphis music icon Larry Dodson Sr. joined him on Friday for the unveiling of a sign that brought his legacy sharply into view at the corner of Marlin Rd. and Elvis Presley Blvd.
Now a solo artist, the former lead singer for The Bar-Kays mounted a few steps, reached to his heart for appropriate words and then delivered a “thank you” in his distinctive style — a mix of confidence and humility splashed with a hint of the future.
