For the Nov. 6 election, early voting numbers are promising. But the Shelby County branch of the NAACP is still preaching that every vote counts – and they are taking no chances.

From  10:30 a.m. on Wednesday (Oct. 31) through 8:30 p.m. on Thursday (Nov. 1), the NAACP is hosting a “Get Out The Vote” rally. The civil rights organization is seeking volunteers to help drive voters to the polls, as well as staff a phone bank to encourage voting.

A final rally is set to start at 6:30 a.m. on Election Day (Nov. 6).

The rallies will be held at the NAACP Memphis headquarters at 588 Vance Avenue, Memphis, TN 38126
