NFL Draft: Chicago Bears trade up to take Miller; Avery headed to Cleveland Browns

Well, it didn’t happen in the first round of the NFL Draft, but three stars at the University of Memphis will get their shot at NFL stardom.

The Chicago Bears traded up to get the 51st pick in the draft, which they used to reel in Tigers’ WR Anthony Miller. Meanwhile, the Cleveland Browns snatched DB Genard Avery with the 150th pick in draft.


Avery was thrilled with being selected by the Browns:


Tigers QB Riley Ferguson was undrafted but signed as a free agent with the Tampa Bay Buccanneers.
