For Corey Strong, now is the time voters to choose someone other than incumbent Steve Cohen to represent the Ninth Congressional District.

On Friday, the former Shelby County Democratic Party Chairman Corey Strong officially announced his candidacy at the Holiday Inn at the University of Memphis.

“There are two major qualifications for good leadership,” said Strong, detailing why he plans to take on Cohen in the Aug. 2020 election. “One is to know Memphis, and the second is to love Memphis. This is my home.

“I believe we can bring more businesses and jobs  to our city. I have a vision for Memphis.”
