Next summer, Black professional men will be able to attend Black Boys Camp, an empowerment camp that teaches career skills as well as brotherhood, complete with the usual outdoor activities that come with camping.

The event will include sessions likeย โ€œOld Money vs. New Money: Building generational wealth,โ€ โ€œManaging to Lead: How to be a boss in Corporate America,โ€ and โ€œGrill Master: How to throw-down at your next family cookout.โ€

Whatโ€™s more, participants will be part of a fitness boot camp and wilderness survival activities, as well as things like kayaking, fishing, and other camping activities.

โ€œAfter 10 years of working in Corporate America, including launching my own marketing firm at 24, Iโ€™ve realized there arenโ€™t enough men in the workplace who look like me that I can go to for inspiration, mentorship and introductions,โ€ explained Kyle Rosenbaum, who is the founder and director of Black Boys Camp, in a press release.

โ€œI believe I can make the biggest impact by creating Black Boys Camp as a vehicle for black professionals like me to build a thriving career and thrilling personal life.โ€

Black Boys Camp will also be supported by a host committee that includes theGrioโ€™s own Gerren Keith Gaynor, among others:ย Kinelam Bolgaire (VZA); Timothy George (eLo); Paladin Jordan (Train Your Talents); Mike Mosley (Afro Trak); Darren Nesbitt (ACE Content); Justin Stucey (Vanish Point).

The camp will run fromย Aug. 3 to Sept. 2, 2018, atย New Yorkโ€™s Adirondack State Park. Tickets will be available for purchaseย Monday, Jan. 15, 2018.
