Ed Hartwell, who recently made the news with his unexpected decision to file for divorce from Keshia Knight Pulliam after they had been married for only a year, is here to tell his side of the story.

In response to a recent interview Pulliam gave in which she expressed her disbelief over his charges of cheating as well as his demands for a paternity test on the child she is carrying, Hartwell explained that it was in part the baby that had driven them apart in the first place.
โShe would tell a half truth to make sure she seems like sheโsโฆI donโt want to say a victim, but like sheโs the one thatโs right,โ Hartwell said. โMy thing is Iโm going to tell my wrong, Iโm going to tell the whole truth.โ

He went on to explain that Pulliamย โwanted a baby really fast, and what I was trying to explain to her was that โ from my beliefs, from seeing other successful people โ that when you first get married, especially since we didnโt have a long courtship, that we should actually focus on each other and not just have a baby. Thatโs something she really did want to do.โ

But if the child is his, Hartwell said, he would be willing to take responsibility for it.
โI canโt say she was unfaithful,โ he said. โI can say she wanted to get in vitro. I can say she wanted to do some things to make sure she got pregnant. I just want to make sure it is mine.โ
As if this situation wasnโt complicated enough, Friday, on Pulliamโs podcast, Kandily Keshia, she hinted that Hartwellโs ex-wife, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Lisa Wu, may be hearing from her attorneys afterย a promo from TVOne appeared to be capitalizing on her divorce drama.
โLisa Wu and I have never, will never, be friends,โ the actress clarified.
โI have no ill will for her, I donโt know her like that it was never a situation of stealing anyoneโs husband. They were divorced many years before we even started dating and yes we live in Atlanta, itโs a small town. Have I run into her? Have I taken a picture with her? Absolutely, but I take pictures with people every day. And if you were categorized as friends with everyone you took a picture with, would that be accurate?โ
โI just want to say that I have no desire to continue to be a part of that lie and to continue to be part of a false made up story line that puts me in a defamatory, derogatory light and I donโt have anything more to say about that.โ
โBut my attorney will be dealing with that from a legal standpoint with TV one and that whole situation, Lisa Wu, so forth and so on. Itโs very simple, no need to say my name, because Iโm not a part of it. I respect her for being EJโs mom because I love him dearly and our connection is that weโre going to have the same ex-husband and our children will be siblings, but beyond that, thatโs all. I wish you the best, and Iโm moving forward.โ
