The family ofย Robert Godwin Sr., the man who was killed in a video posted to Facebook by suspect Steve Stephens, are now speaking out, not only to forgive the shooter but to ask him to turn himself in.

โ€œOne thing I do want to say is I forgive him. Because we are all sinners,โ€ Robert Godwin Jr., Godwinโ€™s son,ย told CNN Monday night. โ€œIf youโ€™re out there, if you are listening, turn yourself in. Youโ€™ve done enough damage, just turn yourself in.โ€

Godwinโ€™s daughter Tammyย chimed in asking the shooter to โ€œgive us closure,โ€ saying,ย  โ€œJust turn yourself in. We donโ€™t hate you. You took something from us and we still donโ€™t hate you.โ€

Naujia Goodwin, another of Godwinโ€™s ten children, said that she found out about her fatherโ€™s death on social media from friends and family.ย โ€œAt first I was angry,โ€ Naujia said. โ€œI was like โ€˜Why would you do that to my dad? Why would you put it online?โ€™โ€ But, she added,ย โ€œI guess my dad had to die for people to realize life wasnโ€™t guaranteed.โ€

Stephens has been placed on the FBIโ€™s 10 most-wanted list and is current the subject of a multi-state manhunt in progress.
