Memphis 901 FC to host open practice March 2


Over at Liberty Bowl Stadium, it’s football season.

But fútbol season is set to get underway on March 9, when Memphis 901 FC, Memphis’ new soccer team, plays its inaugural game against the Tampa Bay Rowdies.

And on Saturday, March 2, “FanFest” will give fans an early look at the team and their home field at AutoZone Park. The event runs from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

Scheduled events include several family activities, including an open practice, the chance to go onto the field and shoot penalty kicks and a team photo with fans at the conclusion at 2 p.m.

Season ticket holders will have access to an exclusive autograph session.

Food and beverage will also be available for purchase at stadium concession stands. Here’s a schedule:
