Announced at an MLGW Board of Commissioners meeting by CEO Doug McGowen, Madden’s appointment is a strategic move in enhancing MLGW’s commitment to reliable, resilient service and effective customer communication.
“As we work to make MLGW more reliable, resilient, and ready for the future, it is critical that we build a team that can help accelerate progress and communicate with our customers,” said McGowen in a statement.
“I’m excited that Ursula Madden will join the transformational work underway at MLGW, and confident that her years of experience in broadcast journalism, as Chief Communications Officer with the City of Memphis, and her recent experience with Blue Oval SK will be an asset to our leadership team and our customers.”
MLGW Chairman Leon Dickson expressed optimism about Madden’s contribution to improving customer communication and supporting MLGW’s modernization and future planning efforts.
“As Chairman, improving communications with our customers is a top priority for me,” he said. “I am very pleased that Ursula will bring her many talents to the organization and look forward to working with her as we modernize our systems, and plan for our future.”
