Survey says: Memphis family to make ‘Family Feud’ debut

One of Memphis’ own, the Dickerson family, will face off against another lucky family on the immensely poplar “Family Feud” game show on Monday (October 7) at 3 p.m. on Fox-13.

The Dickerson’s flew to Los Angeles earlier this year for the taping after being picked during an audition held in Louisville, Ky.

Local business woman and Kroger executive, Teresa Dickerson, was one of the family members who took part in the taping.

“We had a blast,” said Dickerson. “It was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to go on the show with my family. We had so much fun. Mr. (Steve) Harvey and his staff were exceptional during our entire stay, and it was definitely worth participating.”

Dickerson was accompanied by family members Demone Dickerson (husband), Chris Taylor (nephew), Stephanie Gunn (cousin) and Celest Smith (sister-in-law).

Asked if her family won, Dickerson said we’d have to tune in on Monday night to see.

Even though “Family Feud” host Harvey is not from Memphis, he is definitely a fixture in many Memphians’ homes. His wife is from the Bluff City and the show is watched by millions.
