Threesome killer sobs over girlfriend’s deceit: ‘I threw my life away for a f ing lie’ news Threesome Killer

A threesome ended in murder and the man charged in the killing was upset on Saturday when he learned it may have been his own girlfriend that set him up.

Christopher Membreno spoke to the Daily News on Saturday from Rikers Island and said he was unaware that cops believed that the threesome between his girlfriend and two other men was consensual.

“I threw my life away for a f—ing lie? My life is over because of a f—ing lie,” a sobbing Membreno said.

He says he doesn’t remember much of what happened early Monday following a call from his girlfriend telling him she had been raped in Brooklyn.

She sounded “distraught, scared,” he said.

Membreno then gathered some of his friends and together they went looking for Manos Ikonomidis. They found him leaving the Park Slope apartment where the girlfriend had been with him and the other man.

“I just wanted some f—ing justice. I wanted to hold him until the police got there.”

That is not what happened however. According to police Membreno and his group attacked the victim with bats and knives, leaving him bleeding to death in a pool of blood in the hallway before leaving the scene.

Membreno says he was high on drugs and remembers little of the moment he killed Ikonomidis.

“He was fighting me. I had to defend myself. I had to fight back,” he said.

Police say there is nothing to indicate that this is true. Ikonomidis had three stab wounds to his chest and back and was able to knock on a nearby door for help before he collapsed.

“They stabbed me! They stabbed me twice! They stabbed me!” he told the stranger who answered the door. “I’m so sorry.”

Detectives think that Membreno’s girlfriend, Ikonomidis and Jack Doherty had a consensual sexual encounter earlier in the night. Their meeting ended abruptly when one of the men began filming.

Police are still investigating said NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce.

“We have a competing narrative in this case,” Boyce said. “We’re still trying to decipher exactly what happened that day.”

This news took Membreno by surprise. “Did she set me up? I deserve to know the truth,” he said.

He has not spoken to his girlfriend since he was arrested.

“This is my life now,” he said as he ripped open his beige jumpsuit to grab it in his fist. “I can’t do it anymore. I really don’t know what I have to live for.”

Still, he harbors no ill will against his girlfriend.

“I still love her even though she set me up,” he stated. “I don’t know why I still love her.

“I just want some answers,” he went on.
