Tigers bite into Big Apple for Thanksgiving day game with N.C. State

The Memphis Tigers’ basketball team will be without two vital players when they play the North Carolina State Wolfpack at the Barclays Center on Thanksgiving.

Star center James Wiseman is in the midst of a 12-game NCAA suspension and Lester Quiñones Jr. broke two bones in his hand during the Ole Miss win and will be out at least three weeks.

Precious Achiuwa and Quiñones, both New Yorkers, have been looking forward to playing a game in their home city in front of their families.

The Wolfpack is on a five-game win streak, beating their last five opponents by an average of 19.6 points. N.C. State is led by C.J. Bryce, who is averaging 17.7 ppg and 7.7 rpg.
