Tito Jackson of the renowned Jackson 5 will soon embark on a world tour with a group of Memphis’ own – the legendary B.B. King All-Star Blues Band.

Jackson was in Memphis Wednesday as the tour was announced at a gathering hosted by State Rep. Joe Towns and Mike Dockery at the Withers Museum and Gallery on Beale St.

Evelyn Young, B.B. King’s granddaughter, referenced her father’s iconic hit – “The Thrill Is Gone” – as she framed the upcoming.

“The collaboration will be a great thing,” Young said. “The ‘thrill’ is not gone, it is just resting.’”

With the knowledge that the iconic B.B. King named his guitar “Lucille,” Jackson said he would be calling his guitar “Kathy” after Katherine Jackson, the matriarch of the Jackson family.
