Memphis rapper Moneybagg Yo has teamed up with TrapTVHD.com to throw an hour-long live concert July 11 as tech companies and performers continue branching out in pursuit of ways to bring shows into the virtual realm as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to rage.
Last month, the Memphis powerhouse artist released the deluxe album for his latest project โTime Served,โ which included seven new tracks. Features included Lil Baby, Rylo Rodriguez, Big Homiee G, Megan Thee Stallion and Big 30.
The pre-show sounds and entertainment will be provided by the โPresident of Afternoon Radioโ Devin Steel, an on-air radio personality and pro- gram director for WHRK K97.
โThis virtual performance gives fans the chance to feel like they are attending an actual concert without physically being there,โ said Steel.
Memphisโ own Love & Hip Hopโs Jessica Dime will host the show, so I am certain the show will be extremely Memphis in dynamic, theme, energy and music.
The live performance will be done at an undisclosed location and not accessible to the general public to protect the safety of fans, staff and artists.
The show will be a full-scale production concert on stage with Bagg, background singers, a DJ and band.
โThis company knows what theyโre doing. Itโs not an Instagram live show. Itโs an actual produced concert with multiple 4k cameras. The quality is top notch,โ said Steel.
โConsidering you canโt go to a concert and summer has been โcancelledโ for all music festi- vals and tours, if youโre a Bagg fan or a lover of hip hop this is the future of what will be available… at least for right now.โ
Most musicians and fans probably will not be able to congregate in a physical setting for a while, so digital events like this one are a promising way of moving forward.
โWe seek to unite people through their shared love for high quality, entertaining performances,โ according to TrapTVHD.comโs website. โJoin our audience and take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience a live show unlike anything youโve seen before.โ
