Yes, the Grizzlies should have beaten the Charlotte Hornets last night instead of coughing up a 13-point second-half lead. Even if they weren’t able to score, better defense would likely have meant a W.

But Charlotte is a good team, featuring All-Stars Kemba Walker and Dwight Howard, so this wasn’t going to be a cakewalk anyway. But yeah, the home team was close enough to have pulled out the win.

And almost certainly, Golden State and Houston are saying the same thing about losing to the Grizzlies. I only add that for perspective — these are incredible athletes in the best pro basketball league in the world. You’re going to drop some games you “are supposed to win.” So I’m not bent out of shape about it.
