The Memphis Tigers had no business being within striking distance of a win over the top-seeded Houston Cougars Saturday afternoon. Not after getting outrebounded for much of the game and shooting only 23.5 percent from the field.
And yet, there they were, down three with less than a minute to play. But errant three-pointers by Jeremiah Martin and Tyler Harris made the comeback futile, and Houston won to advance to the AAC Final on Sunday, beating the Tigers 61-58.
Terry Davis is working on the full-game story as I type. But in the meantime, peep these photos of the Tigers-Cougars thrilling matchup.
