Dedric Pearson, an insurance consultant for Pete Mitchell and Associates, Inc. has been elected president of the Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) of Tennessee.
Pearson was elected to the position at the 84th annual state convention in on June 20. PIA of Tennessee is an association of independent insurance agents who sell all kinds of insurance, and represent multiple insurance companies.
Pearson was elected to the Board of PIA of Tennessee in June of 2013. He has served on several committees, including taking on the role of chairman of the 2019 state convention.
From 2014 to 2016, Pearson served as the president of the Memphis Chapter of PIA. He holds the Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA) professional designation. His agency, Pete Mitchell and Associates, Inc. represents multiple companies, including Travelers, Zurich, Safeco, CNA, Hartford and Progressive.
Pearson attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. He speaks regularly at community and church events concerning insurance and bonding. He also serves on the Community Relations Council for the Benjamin L. Hooks Job Corps Center, is a mentor for Germanshire Elementary School, and a Faith Encourager for HopeWorks of Memphis.
At South Germantown Road Church of Christ, Pearson serves as a deacon and youth minister.
