As promised, former president Barack Obama made his first public remarks since leaving office during a forum with young people at The University of Chicago on Monday.
“What’s been going on while I’ve been gone?” Obama joked during his opening remarks. What followed was a laid back Obama, with his shirt unbuttoned, carefully steering clear of criticizing his successor, but admonishing young people to get involved and engage with people of different points of view. He went on to say that the most important thing he can do now is “prepare the next generation of leadership,”
