Black love is about to get more than hashtaggable attention. Oprah Winfrey’s OWN has decided to make black love into a docuseries of the same name. Winfrey tapped filmmakers Codie Elaine Oliver and Tommy Oliver (The Perfect Guy) and Confluential Films for the new show Black Love.

OK, so what is it? Black Love highlights love stories from the black community and focuses on answering the burning question, “What is the secret to making a marriage work?” The show will dive into how love begins while showing the reality of what lifelong love looks like, and will offer proof that it can happen for everyone. The show will be honest, emotional and sometimes cringeworthy, but it will always champion true black love stories.

You can catch Black Love on Tuesday, Aug. 29, at 10 p.m. ET/PT (after a new episode of Tyler Perry’s The Haves and the Have Nots at 9 p.m. ET/PT). The series will air regularly on Saturdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT beginning Sept. 2. Will you be watching? Check out the exclusive sneak peek below.
