WATCH: Video of Brown Baptist’s Pastor Orr “zip lining” while preaching goes viral

Well, here’s something you don’t see every day.

To emphasize his message of Jesus’ imminent return, Rev. Barthomew Orr, pastor of the popular Brown Baptist Church in Southaven, wanted to simulate for his congregation what it might be like to look up as Jesus returns.

And so, there he was, hovering in mid-air on a zipline from the balcony area, his baritone voice still steady, still full of conviction: “He’s coming. He’s coming again . . . Jesus Christ is on his way back . . .”

This is one of those things that words cannot do justice to. You really just need to see it. Not surprisingly, a lot of people already have. Plenty of people whipped out their phones to video Orr’s entrance, and clips have gone viral – both with people inspired by the act as well as some who are critical of it.
